This is a well made unit for moderate use (i.e. periodic back-ups). If looking for a unit to constantly run for several days, I would suggest finding one with a fan. I got this yesterday and it was quick to install the hard drive and use. The directions were well documented and had good pictures to show the steps for removing the pieces and re-installing. You do need a precision screwdriver to finish the installation which is different than what the documentation says. My Win7 computer instantly recognized it and I was off and running without issue.
