  1. I found this case to be a great price/performance combination. While I also use other gel cases around the house, I like this case for taking the iPad to meetings, conferences, or travel.

    The biggest flaw (IMHO) is that the case is “backwards”. That is, the small buckle and button used to lock it closed are put on the wrong side. The leather tab is on the front of the case, so the button is positioned below. When you open the case like an English book (as opposed to Hebrew or Japanese), the leather tab travels with the opening top, not the stationary base where the iPad is attached. This means two negative things: 1) when you prop the case up to view/type, the leather tab is front and center by your wrists. 2) When you put the case on the table in front of you, and prepare to open the case, the leather tab is buttoned UNDER the device. It’s just backwards. Hardly a deal breaker, but it’s a good gripe.

    I like the strap on the bottom case side (the side that holds the iPad), as it helps with hanging the case on car seats, hooks, etc, while still displaying the iPad for movie viewing.

    As the pictures show the case can hold the iPad at various angles for viewing or typing. I found that this works well enough, so long as the surface underneath is solid and flat, like a table. On a bed, the case can bend a little, and the iPad can slide out of the notches. Not a big deal, but something to note.

    The case is padded enough to offer good protection, but it does leave the sides and especially the corners of the iPad exposed to drops, even when closed.

    All ports, plugs, and buttons are accessible.
